KAHLA – CAFE SOMMELIER COFFEE SET – 2

A cup with thin walls and a fine border for drinking. You can enjoy a precious fresh brewed filter coffee with the Café Sommelier coffee cup. Its handle has the perfect shape for a comfortable use of the cup and to hold it in anyway while drinking effortlessly. The coffee cup has capacity for 19 ml, and is a masterpiece for enjoying coffee fully, but it can also be used for the flavour delight of tea. The Café Sommelier Coffee Set includes two coffee cups of 0,19 l with their corresponding plates of 16 cm.

Coffee exists from the beginning of times, but how to design a cup that can release all the flavour of the coffee to its best? What’s more to the coffee experience than the cup? While developing Café Sommelier, the designer Barbara Schmidt had the help of Michael Gliss, Germany‘s first coffee sommelier and by small coffee roasters, baristas and other coffee enthusiasts we delved deeply into the world of coffee in order to learn how to make it a really good beverage. Black coffee and dark chocolate offer the perfect contrast with the white porcelain. Café Sommelier was awarded five international design prices.
